Bowling Team Takes On Sectionals

          The members of the girls’ team are Filicity Keogh, Marina Angrisani, Krista Dietz, Jessie Kasper, Gabrielle Marino, Sam Chipman, and Alyssa Arzaga. The members of the boys’ team are Tom Fusca, Nick Varbaro, Nick Hangach, Kenny Copeland, Ryan Fuller, Makena Kraus, and Michael Villeda.

          Three of the girls made All Section: Jessica Kasper, Alyssa Arzaga, and Krista Dietz. Jessie Kasper ranked number four with her average for All Section.

    On February 5, 2020 the girls’ and boys’ bowling teams competed in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Bowling State Championship. The girls team finished second out of seven teams, and the boys team finished sixth out of seven teams.

          Five of the girls made All League. Jessie Kasper was ranked first with an average of 205.67. Alyssa Arzaga was ranked fourth with an average of 166.86. Marina Angrisani was ranked fifth with an average of 166.59. Krista Dietz was ranked sixth with an average of 164.97. Filicity Keogh was ranked eighth with an average of 155.34. Sam Chipman was ranked eleventh.

          The seniors leaving the girls’ team are Jessie Kasper, Sam Chipman, and Filicity Keogh.

          Jessie was named Lohud Girl Bowler of the Year for Westchester/ Putnam County for the last two years and  Filicity received a Sportsman Award for the second year in a row. Mr. Caroll was named 2019 Bowling Coach of the Year as well. The team was undefeated this season.Nick Varbaro received the most improved bowler for the boys this year. Congratulations to both teams.
